1960
Ingeniería y Construcción Sigdo Koppers is founded
Ingenieros Asociados Sigma Donoso partners with Koppers Co. of Pittsburgh, United States, to establish Ingeniería y Construcción Sigdo Koppers S.A., laying the foundation for what is today the Sigdo Koppers Group
1974
A group of professionals from Ingeniería y Construcción Sigdo Koppers acquires a controlling interest in the company through the purchase of its shares. This marks the beginning of a period of growth through new business lines and the creation of new companies, eventually establishing Sigdo Koppers as one of Chile’s leading industrial groups

SK Comercial (SKC) is established to market industrial and agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles
1986
Sigdo Koppers enters the automotive distribution business with the creation of Comercial Itala
The Group acquires electricity company EMEC, which subsequently takes control of Transnet in Chile and Eléctrica San Juan in Argentina

Sigdo Koppers is established as the Group’s parent company and begins trading its shares on the Santiago Stock Exchange

Enaex expands into South Africa, followed by Australia in 2021
SK Godelius begins operations in Canada

Enaex S.A. acquires 100% of Australian group MTI and a 45% interest in Portugal-based O-Pitblast
Puerto Ventanas, through its subsidiary Puerto Abierto, begins operating the ENGIE-owned Puerto Andino terminal in Mejillones
2024
Sigdo Koppers sells its interest in Astara Latam, its partnership with Spain’s Bergé Group for automotive representation in Latin America
2025
SK and its subsidiaries migrate to the SAP S/4HANA platform, integrating processes and strengthening collaboration across the Group
